COMPUSOL’s process definition began early and has been built on strong foundations with the management itself driving the Software Engineering and Process initiative. Our process initiative since inception in 1995 has the management driving the processes to ensure customer commitments and software quality. Our processes have been designed and developed with the intent of setting up a “Software Factory”.

COMPUSOL presently follows an Iterative and Incremental Process based on the Rational Unified Process with compliance to meet SEI- CMM Level 3. The organization has very strong systems in place for Software Project Plan and Tracking, Software Quality Assurance and Software Configuration Management. Our testing processes are very robust and average up to 20 tests per field. Our Requirement Gathering is centered on RUP with UML 1.3 as the notation for Business Modeling. Our life cycle reflects the extensive usage of UML in our Requirement Gathering and Business Modeling Phases.

Engineering Process

COMPUSOL believes in Customer Satisfaction with People, Process, Technology and teamwork as a base. The organization has very strong systems in place for Software Engineering, Software Quality Assurance and Software Configuration Management. Complete Business Modeling of the proposed solution is carried out in UML to ensure long-term upgrade path of the solution. It helps identify areas for improvement and changes in business process. It will therefore be possible to continuously raise the solution to the changing business needs seamlessly and in the shortest cycle time.

COMPUSOL’s process is aimed at meeting the customer needs and satisfaction. In order to achieve the same, we have developed an Iterative and Incremental Process, based on Rational Unified Process, which ensures that the customer gets an executable version at the end of each iteration, as defined by the business priorities, subsequently increased in the subsequent iterations. The solution is divided into a sequence of iterations, not more than 3 months, enabling the solution to be in tune with the changing business needs and requirements. As the process starts with the business modeling, it is possible to understand and implement changing requirements sooner, reducing the response time to deployment for COMPUSOL customers.
